Richard Barnes M.D.

Chief Medical Advisor

Dr. Barnes is an actively practicing emergency physician who is double board-certified inEmergency Medicine and Family Medicine. He earned his undergraduate degree in Biology from Butler University in Indianapolis, Indiana. He earned his medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis, Indiana. He then completed his residency at Halifax Medical Center in Daytona Beach, Florida, where he also worked on the medical staff at the Daytona International Speedway and Daytona 500.


After his residency, Dr Barnes relocated to the Tampa, FL area where he actively practiced Emergency Medicine in multiple hospitals for 17 years, including being a director of a level 2 trauma center. For the past 8 years, Dr. Barnes has worked as a locums emergency physician, traveling in multiple states. He has 8 active medical licenses, 25 years of full time emergency department experience, and has accumulated over 60,000 patient contact hours. He has special interests in pediatric emergency medicine, ACLS instruction, difficult airway management, and working with EMS.

Dr. Barnes travels to Bolivia and Togo, West Africa with medical students and residents from the U.S. to provide medical care to native people groups in those regions. He has worked with the Pasco County (FL) SWAT team to provide medical support on tactical missions. He enjoys spending time with his wife and 2 sons, skydiving, mountain biking,  and wakeboarding.

Paul Giasi M.D.

MBA, FACEP, FAAEM, FACHE

Dr Giasi is an actively practicing Emergency Physician and Experienced Medical Information Officer. He is ABMS Board Certified in Emergency Medicine (ABEM) and Clinical Informatics (ABPM), with a demonstrated history of working in the hospital & health care industry. He is skilled in Healthcare Consulting, Clinical Research, Medical Education, Medicine, and Working with Physicians. He is a strong information technology professional, with a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) focused in Multi-sector Health Care Management; EMR Design and Implementation from St. George’s University.
He received his undergraduate degree from Cornell University. Shortly thereafter, he received a Master’s degree in Biochemistry from Cornell University. He received his Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree from St George’s University, as well as a Master’s of Business Administration (M.B.A) in Multisector Healthcare Management, and EMR Design and Implementation. He then completed his Emergency Medicine Residency at State University of New York Upstate Medical University.
Dr. Giasi has over 20 years of full time Emergency Medicine experience, with many as a director. These include EM directorships of large, multi-site medical systems in Florida and Texas. He is currently the System Medical Director and Chairman of the Department of Emergency Medicine at HCA Capital Hospital in Tallahassee, Florida.

Dai Takahashi D.O.

FACP SFHM

Dr. Takahashi is a graduate of Nova Southeastern University, College of Osteopathic Medicine. He then completed an internal medicine residency at The Medical College of Wisconsin in 2006. He was chief resident of the Internal Medicine Residency in 2007.

After residency, Dr. Takahashi took a position as a Hospitalist at the Medical College of Wisconsin, and practiced there from 2007 until 2016. He then accepted a position as lead hospitalist with the Department of Medicine at Northwest Health, Laporte, Indiana. Shortly thereafter, he was elected Chair of The Department of Medicine at Northwest Health in LaPorte, Indiana. He is currently actively practicing as a Hospitalist / Intensivist within the Franciscan Healthcare system at multiple sites in Northwest Indiana.

He has a special interest in Intensive Care and procedural medicine. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his young daughter, and fishing.
