The developers of AffordableACLS.com are a group of actively practicing, Board Certified Emergency Medicine physicians with decades of both clinical experience, as well as academic backgrounds, including ACLS, PALS and BLS instruction. We are involved in the day-to-day practice of Emergency Medicine and work at multiple hospitals in 4 states.
Because we have set through many in-person classes ourselves, we feel that certification/recertification should be painless and affordable, especially since we all have to recertify every 2 years. We believe that a good course should follow American Heart Association (AHA) and International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR) guidelines. Most medical professionals already have an extremely busy schedule and do not have time to schedule 1 or 2 days for a live, in-person class, not to mention return on another day if they do not pass.
