27. CPR with Advanced Airway
- Once advanced airway is in place, there is no need to pause compressions to deliver breaths. This is because air is reliably being delivered to lungs regardless of whether there is force on the chest.
- Advanced airways include: Laryngeal mask airway (LMA), Supraglottic airway (Combitube or Kingtube), Endotracheal tube.
- Compressions still delivered at 100-120/minute. Give 1 breath every 6 seconds (10-12 breaths/min).
