23. Moving Victims

  1. Generally not recommended to move a victim unless there is a direct danger to the victim’s life, or if it is necessary to provide care. 
  1. Recovery position – an unconscious victim who is breathing and has a pulse should be assisted into the recovery position to protect the airway. Less risk for aspiration.  Patient on side with one knee flexed and over the other leg.
